Levels vs DarioHealth
Levels is a metabolic health benefit for your whole population, with a GLP-1 companion program for members on medication, backed by an IRB study of 62,236 members. DarioHealth is a public, multi-condition remote monitoring platform built on a fingerstick glucose meter, adding a partner-prescribed GLP-1 program that goes on sale in fall 2026.

The short answer
Dario is a device platform adding a GLP-1 program. Levels is a metabolic program that already runs one.
DarioHealth sells employers and health plans one app for diabetes, blood pressure, musculoskeletal pain and behavioral health, fed by its own FDA-cleared fingerstick meter and cuff and staffed by coaches. Its GLP-1 program has been relaunched three times since 2023, most recently in July 2026 with a new prescribing partner, and has yet to bill a dollar. Its quarterly filing disclosed substantial doubt about continuing as a going concern in May 2026, withdrawn in August after a $23.5M raise. Levels gives every member CGM, labs, food logging and personalized guidance, adds a companion program for anyone on a GLP-1, and publishes the study behind it, limitations included. One puts six conditions in an app. The other measures one condition in every member, and moves it.
Levels fits when
You want results that outlast the prescription
- You already cover GLP-1s through your PBM and want support around them this plan year, not after a fall launch.
- You want something the whole population can use, with continuous glucose data rather than a fingerstick meter.
- You want to see the evidence. Ours is a 62,236-member IRB study, and every cohort size is on the page.
- Your diligence team reads the quarterly filing before the sales deck.
DarioHealth fits when
You want one app for every chronic condition
- You want diabetes, hypertension, musculoskeletal and behavioral health from one vendor at one per-member price, and metabolic depth is secondary.
- You already buy through Solera, Amwell or PlanSource and want a zero-procurement add.
- Your target is a diagnosed, fingerstick-monitored type 2 population and you want a peer-reviewed, matched-cohort HbA1c result behind the vendor, even a modest one.
- You can wait for the GLP-1 program to launch and are comfortable with a going-concern history in the file.
At a glance
What each one hands you.
Functionality first, price last. Dario entries come from its own public materials and SEC filings, and we say so where it publishes nothing. Levels entries come from the study behind the program.

DarioHealth entries come from dariohealth.com, its employer, health plan and GLP-1 pages, its 2026 quarterly filings and earnings call, read September 2026. They describe what Dario publishes. Where it publishes nothing we say "not published" rather than claim the product can't do it. Dario's outcome and savings figures are its own reporting. Levels figures come from our IRB-approved study at levels.com/pro/outcomes, which is observational, participant-funded and has no control arm. The cohort size sits next to every number. If a row is out of date, tell us and we'll fix it.
What it costs
Where the money goes, and who carries the risk.
Neither company publishes employer pricing. Dario's is a per-engaged-member bundle across conditions. What you can compare is the shape of the deal: who it covers, what the fee rides on, and what each vendor's own numbers say.
Levels · population benefit
62,236
consented members in the study behind the program. 1.15B glucose readings across 3.5 years.
- One benefit for the whole population, with the GLP-1 companion program included for anyone on medication, at whatever coverage level you set.
- Works with the prescribers and PBM you already have. No second clinic, no medication decisions handed to a vendor.
- Pricing is scoped to your population in consultation. The study is public before you ask.
DarioHealth · bundled per engaged member
Not published
for the fee. No guarantee or risk-sharing found.
- About $74 per engaged member per month for the multi-condition bundle, per an investor deck. Nothing at risk against outcomes.
- $5,077 in claimed savings per member per year and a 5x ROI, from Dario's health-plan page. Methodology not published.
- Accumulated deficit of $468M, a $31M term loan with a $10M liquidity covenant, and a going-concern disclosure in May 2026, withdrawn in August. From its own filings.
The bill you already pay
Half of it stops early.
About half of members stop GLP-1 therapy within the first year, and most of the lost weight comes back. That's from the Peterson Health Technology Institute's December 2025 report and the STEP 1 trial extension, not from us. Careful prescribing changes who starts. Changing daily behavior changes who finishes, and what's left a year after the last dose.
Being fair
Where DarioHealth is the better call.
Three situations where we wouldn't recommend Levels over DarioHealth. Better you hear it here than mid-RFP.
You want one vendor for everything.
Diabetes, hypertension, musculoskeletal and behavioral health in one app and one contract. Levels is a metabolic health benefit, not a multi-condition platform, and we won't pretend otherwise.
You buy through Solera or Amwell.
If Dario is already on your channel partner's shelf, adding it is a procurement non-event. Levels is a new vendor relationship, and consultations start with your population.
Your population is fingerstick-monitored.
For a diagnosed type 2 population that isn't moving to CGM, Dario's matched-cohort HbA1c result is peer-reviewed and independent of its marketing. Our study is IRB-approved and clinically reviewed, but not yet independently validated.
If one of those is you, take the Dario meeting, and read the latest quarterly filing first. Come back when you want a GLP-1 program that's live, continuous glucose for everyone, and a study your consultant can pull apart.
Working alongside
You can run both. Many populations should.
Dario is scoped to members with a diagnosed condition, and its GLP-1 program isn't on sale yet. Levels is scoped to everyone. Nothing here asks you to cancel a monitoring program. The open question is what the rest of your population gets, and what happens to GLP-1 members once they stop.

Start with the members Dario doesn't cover
Launch the Levels wellness benefit to all eligible members. Anyone enrolled in a condition program stays exactly where they are.

Wrap the GLP-1 members you already pay for
Add the companion program alongside your PBM coverage, from first dose through discontinuation. It's live now.

Questions we get
Four straight answers.
- Is Levels a replacement for DarioHealth?
- Not one for one. Dario is a multi-condition monitoring platform with a GLP-1 program arriving in fall 2026. Levels is a metabolic health benefit for the whole population with a GLP-1 companion program running today. If you need Dario's condition breadth, you may still want the second, because Dario's metabolic layer is a fingerstick meter.
- Does Levels prescribe GLP-1s?
- No. Your PBM and your members' clinicians do. Levels works before medication, with CGM, labs and guidance, and alongside it, with nutrition, movement and side-effect support. The point is what's still true a year after the last dose.
- How does the evidence compare?
- Ours is an IRB-approved longitudinal study of 62,236 consented members and 1.15 billion glucose readings over 3.5 years. Cohort sizes, methods and limitations are at levels.com/pro/outcomes. Dario's best study is a Sanofi-funded matched cohort showing a 0.23-point HbA1c advantage at six months, and PHTI put its category below clinical significance. Its GLP-1 program has no outcomes yet. Read both.
- What does DarioHealth cost, and is it stable?
- It doesn't publish pricing. An investor deck cites about $74 per engaged member per month. Its May 2026 filing disclosed substantial doubt about continuing as a going concern, withdrawn in August after a $23.5M raise, with revenue down 22.7% over the trailing year and $468M in accumulated losses. Ask for the current balance sheet before you sign a multi-year term.
