Comparison · for practices of one to five practitioners
Levels Pro vs Practice Better
Levels Pro is a comprehensive metabolic health platform for practices: glucose, labs, sleep, activity and food in one client record, summarized by AI. Sensors are $99, no prescription. Practice Better is the EHR many of our practices already run. This page is about what sits on top of it.

The short answer
Practice Better is an EHR to run your practice. Levels Pro runs the metabolic program.
Practice Better is where your notes, bookings, invoices and protocols live, and we don't want to move any of it. What it doesn't do is put a sensor on a client, order a panel, or show glucose next to a meal. Levels Pro does only that part, and hands you the result to chart wherever you chart. This isn't a choice between two tools. It's whether the metabolic program is a line in the journal or something you can sell and prove.
Levels Pro fits when
You sell a metabolic program
- You want to put a CGM on a client without a prescription or a pharmacy run. Shipped to their door in 1 to 3 business days.
- You want lab panels ordered, drawn at Quest and trended in the same view as glucose.
- You bill cash pay, whether a 90-day program, a membership or per visit, and need biomarker change to show at renewal, not module completion.
- You want every client review prepared for you. 30-day AI summaries, meal scores, sleep and glucose on one timeline.
Practice Better fits when
You need a system of record
- You need charting, scheduling, invoicing, superbills and telehealth in one place. That's the job, and it's theirs.
- Your lab work runs through Rupa, Fullscript or Evexia and a PDF in the client file is enough.
- Clients type weight, sleep and meals into a journal, and you don't need a sensor behind it.
- You're at $35 to $155 a month and a second platform fee doesn't fit yet.

What the platform costs you
What a sensor costs your client
Practice Better entries come from practicebetter.io, its help center and its community forum, read September 2026. They describe what Practice Better publishes. Where they publish nothing we say "not published" rather than claim the product can't do it. Tier prices are for monthly billing. Annual billing is $10 less on every tier. If a row is out of date, tell us and we'll fix it.
What it costs
What you pay, and what your client pays.
Two numbers decide this: the sensor your client buys every month, and the platform fee you carry. Levels publishes both. Practice Better publishes its fee and sells no sensor, because it isn't that kind of product.
Levels Pro · published, flat
$99
a 30-day sensor supply, $89 on subscription. No prescription, no activation fee.
- The platform is $199 a month for one practitioner, or $99 with a $1,000 monthly credit commitment. Unlimited client activations either way.
- Credits are simple: 1 credit = $1, spent on CGMs and lab panels for your clients.
- Lab panels are $99 for 28 markers, $399 for 100+. The Levels app, normally $15 a month, is free for every client you invite.
- Every number here is published before you sign.
Practice Better · published, per tier
$35
to $155 a month. Free for three clients, $69 for 300, $99 for unlimited, $155 for a two-practitioner team.
- Every tier includes telehealth, booking and the client app. Billing, forms and integrations start at $35.
- Add-ons are metered. AI charting is $0.60 an hour after 600 free minutes, SMS is 5 cents a text, extra practitioners are $50 each.
- There is nothing here for a sensor or a lab panel. Those bills come from Rupa, Fullscript or a supplier you find.
A 90-day program
The whole bill.
Three sensors at $99, a 28-marker panel at $99, the client app free. That's $396 of client-side supply, and you price the program at whatever it's worth. Practice Better's fee doesn't change, and neither does ours. $199 a month, $99 if you commit to credits, sitting beside your $69 or $99 tier.
Being fair
Where Practice Better is the better call.
Three situations where we wouldn't recommend adding Levels Pro to Practice Better. Better you hear it here than four weeks in.
You're choosing an EHR.
Then this isn't the page. Practice Better is a mature system of record with 50,000 practitioners on it. Levels Pro doesn't chart, book or bill, and won't.
Glucose is a number in a journal.
If a client typing a fasting glucose into the lifestyle journal is all the metabolic tracking you need, you already have it.
A second fee doesn't fit yet.
If you're on Starter or Professional and $199 a month is a stretch, wait. Add Levels when you have five clients who'd pay for a program.
If one of those is you, stay where you are. Come back when a client asks for a CGM and you'd rather run it than refer it.
Switching
You'll run both. Here's how.
Nothing here asks you to switch anything off. Practice Better stays your chart of record. Levels Pro sits beside it for the clients you put on a program.
- 01
Enroll one cohort
Put five existing Practice Better clients on a 90-day Levels program. Their file, bookings and invoices stay where they are.
- 02
Chart from the Levels view
Before each session, open the client in Levels. Glucose, meals, sleep and labs are on one timeline with an AI summary. Write your note in Practice Better as you always have.
- 03
Move nothing
There's no migration because there's nothing to migrate. Your chart of record never moves, because we never asked for it.
Questions we get
Four straight answers.
- Is Levels Pro a replacement for Practice Better?
- No. Practice Better is your EHR and we'd like it to stay that way. Levels Pro replaces the part Practice Better doesn't have. Sensors shipped to clients, lab panels ordered and drawn, and glucose, food, sleep and labs on one timeline.
- Does Levels sync into Practice Better?
- Not yet. There's no native integration in either direction. Practices export a client summary from Levels and attach it to the file, or paste the AI session summary into the note. Direct integration is the most requested item on our list, and we'd rather say that plainly than promise a date.
- Can I keep pricing my program the way I do now?
- Yes. Levels sells you CGM and lab credits at practice pricing. A 30-day sensor supply is $99, a 28-marker panel is $99, and we take no cut of what you charge a client.
- Why not just journal glucose in Practice Better?
- You can, if the client owns a sensor and types the numbers in. What you won't get is the curve, the meal beside it, the score, or the lab panel trended next to it. And you can't sell a typed number as a program.
