Jeewon Garcia-So, Ph.D.

Jeewon is a scientist at Pendulum. She received her BA in Biology at Colgate University, and her PhD in Nutritional and Metabolic Biology at Columbia University. At Columbia, Jeewon worked in Han Laboratory where she studied the mechanisms of and preventive methods against pregnancy complications induced by an oral commensal, Fusobacterium nucleatum. Jeewon is excited to apply her expertise in host-microbe interaction as well as learn about the beneficial bacteria in the gut to directly affect public health.
